This Standing Group of College Composition and Communication is made up of supportive scholars committed to studying the intersections of Writing, Pedagogy, and Social Class. We honor working-class professionals and students by promoting the classroom as a site for developing class consciousness with specific emphasis on writing and writing pedagogy. In so doing, we seek to make visible the voices, experiences, and (life) pedagogies of working-class students and academics. We invite attendees to come read, write, think, and invent a more inclusive university with us.
